Postnatal care refers to the medical care given to a mother and her baby after childbirth. This care typically includes follow-up visits with a healthcare provider, as well as support and education on breastfeeding, infant care, and recovery from childbirth.

Antenatal care

  • Physical exams: These include measuring the mother's weight and blood pressure, checking the baby's heartbeat and growth, and performing a pelvic exam.
  • Laboratory tests: These may include blood tests to check for anemia, diabetes, and infection, as well as urine tests to check for protein and sugar.
  • Counseling and education: Expectant mothers will receive information on proper nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes that can help promote a healthy pregnancy.

Postnatal care
